The general ledger is the detailed record behind every report: posted lines grouped by account in date order with a running balance. Drafts are excluded.
Steps
- Use the chart to see which accounts carry the most activity.
- Read each account's running balance down the table, oldest line first.
- For a single period's totals, use the Trial Balance or Profit & Loss with its period controls.
What you get
You can trace any report figure to the entries that make it up.
Who can do this
Everyone in the organization can view this page (owner, admin, accountant, bookkeeper, manager and viewer).
If something goes wrong
- An entry I created is not here.
- It is probably still a draft; only posted entries appear.
